Heather is from Florence AL and has been a nurse since 2009. Graduating from NWSCC, she knew early on that she wanted to work with the elderly. She started her career in a Long Term Care facility caring for the elderly for 7 years. Heather then worked in the Home Health field before joining the Cottage team as the Resident Services Director.
Heather and her husband Jonathan have 4 children. Heather and family currently reside in the Hatton community.
Ericka, a resident of Killen, has always been passionate about working with the public. Ericka joins The Cottage team as our Enrichment Director. Prior to joining the Cottage team, Ericka has operated her own photography business for 17 years. Ericka and her husband of 25 years, Russell have three beautiful children and three “fur babies.”
When asked about what she loves about working at The Cottages Ericka said, “to see joy in a senior’s eyes after spending time with them or taking them on an outing and enjoying them exceed their personal expectations is an incredibly rewarding experience; they become our family.” Ericka believes it’s important to, as the great Maya Angelou once said, “be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud.”

“The reason I love caring for the elderly is because of my many wonderful grandparents who played such an important role in my life,” says Selena.
