Central to The Cottages’ mission is CareSteps, the customized personal care program that provides just the right kind of help at the right time. Along with this individualized care program, Cottage services include:
Unique activities are available in each Cottage community and are scheduled by our staff based on the interests of our residents. Calendars are carefully planned to ensure that residents and their families have an opportunity to participate in a variety of activities that support their mind, body, and spirit. Residents have numerous opportunities that support an active and healthy lifestyle.

Executive Director
Kelly brings more than 10 years of healthcare experience to the team, including three years dedicated to caring for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease as a personal sitter. She is passionate about serving seniors and finds joy in building meaningful relationships with residents while providing compassionate, attentive care each day.
Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending time with her three daughters, Brittany, Caitlin, and Hayley. She and her family are active members of First Holy Church of Christ in Decatur.
Resident Services Director
Sherry has been a valued member of the Country Cottage team since 2012. She began her career as a Resident Assistant and has served in several roles before being promoted to Resident Services Director.
With previous experience as a private caregiver, Sherry is passionate about serving seniors and is committed to providing compassionate, resident-centered care.
Outside of work, Sherry enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeff, their three children, and two grandchildren. She is also actively involved in her local church.
Admissions Director
Katie is originally from Decatur, Alabama, and has been a valued member of The Cottage team for the past two years. She is passionate about building meaningful relationships with residents and providing compassionate care that helps each person feel supported and at home.
Katie earned her CPR and First Aid certifications through Wallace State Community College. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, watching football, hiking, and meeting new people.
