The Cottages COVID19 Response
Since the first confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID19) were reported earlier this year, The Cottages have been proactive in taking precautions to protect our residents
The Cottage offers a customized personal care program called CareSteps, offering the quality care you are looking for, customized to the needs of your loved one.
Individualized care eases our residents through lifestyle transitions that complement their goals. Our experienced staff will meet with you to discuss you and your family’s current preferences and challenges. The result of this discussion is a CareSteps service plan for your loved one. This plan is revisited every three months or with any significant change, so if your loved one moves in and becomes more independent, his or her cost for care would decrease. If he or she has a decline, the cost for care would increase with the additional staff attention your loved one would require.
Because each service plan is individualized for the resident, the cost is based on the amount of hands-on personal assistance a resident requires. Such assistance includes help with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL’s). ADL’s are basic tasks that are required in daily living, including bathing, dressing, and eating. IADL’s are other regular tasks that enable us to live independently, including cooking, shopping, home maintenance, housekeeping, transportation, and self medication. Each resident’s CareSteps plan will differ based on their individual needs.
