We understand this can be a difficult time for your family and your budget. The cost of care and service varies for each individual resident based on the size and location of the apartment they choose, as well as the kind of care and services needed.
At Country Cottage in Montgomery, each resident is paired with a customized personal care plan called CareSteps. After an assessment by our Cottage staff, your loved one will receive a care plan that is specific to his or her individual needs. This plan is revisited every three months or with any significant change, so if your loved one moves in and becomes more independent, his or her cost for care would decrease. If he or she has a decline, the cost of care would increase with the additional staff attention your loved one would require.

With different sizes and styles of apartments, the Cottage is a unique assisted living community that offers the attention, care, and home-like environment your loved one deserves. Our private apartments come equipped with a private bathroom, emergency alert system, and spacious closet. Each apartment is also cable TV and telephone ready.
Although research supports the idea that people with dementia benefit from being around other people, research also shows that too much of a good thing, especially other people with needs, can be upsetting and frightening for people with dementia. With the guarantee that only 15 other people will ever be neighbors, our memory care residents enjoy just the right amount of companionship to meet each of their needs to stay involved and connected.
The Cottages designed its community around the premise of cozy common areas for friends to gather and a family-style dining room to enjoy during meal times. With a spacious living room, quiet library, sunny porch, and a warm Country Kitchen, our residents always have a place to read, meet with friends, and enjoy a cup of coffee.
Advice from such noted consumer and research organizations such as the Alzheimer’s Association, Alzheimer’s Foundation, and Caregivers Foundation strongly recommend the “keep it simple” approach to dementia care. Because all paths at the Cottage lead directly to our cozy living room and the safe courtyard next to it, residents learn their way quickly with our help. The confidence that comes from this knowledge is priceless!
Central to The Cottages’ mission is CareSteps, the customized personal care program that provides just the right kind of help at the right time. Along with this individualized care program, Cottage services include:
Unique activities are available in each Cottage community and are scheduled by our staff based on the interests of our residents. Calendars are carefully planned to ensure that residents and their families have an opportunity to participate in a variety of activities that support their mind, body, and spirit. Residents have numerous opportunities that support an active and healthy lifestyle.
